The Buddhist Temple is located in the Redlands in South Florida. The temple was built back in 1982. There were many obstacles that came with the establishment of the Temple however, with strong efforts and great determination, the Temple today is strong and thriving.
Simply approaching Wat Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple, you are overcome by an unexplainable internal peace. I was taken away the minute our car approached the parking lot. The golden trim of the temple and the breath-taking landscaping takes you to an unexplainable place.
"A relic in the heart of the Miami Redlands, the Thai Buddhist Temple is a place were people are welcome to meditate and enjoy a moment of peace and quiet." - Wat Buddharangsi of Miami
Several monks are residents to the temple. During the hours of 7am-5pm you can socialize and visit with the monks. The monks offer meditation teachings in Spanish every Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and in English every Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Statues throughout the temple are a must see. Bring your cameras!!! The 23 foot/5 ton statue inside the temple will steal your heart. (Just a reminder if you decide to capture this moment your shoes must be removed and placed in the shoe racks before entering the temple)
Whether you are on vacation or you are a local, the Wat Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple is a place that can visit and enjoy (at no cost). All you need to bring with you is your heart and your camera.
